Boise's Mayor, Lauren McLean, prompted an initiative to redesign the city's 35-year-old flag to embrace Boise's vibrance, history, and values. ...Challenge accepted! Following the principles of good flag design outlined by the North American Vexillological Association (NAVA), including a little artistic liberty during conceptualization, the following are the strongest concepts created in developing a final submission.
