CONVEYING WORDS THROUGH IMAGERY! An example of the technique of ‘WORD PORTRAIT’ illustration. This example used the IARNG Military Service bio of (CSM) Larry W Steele as the ‘words’, with each letter filled in with the varying colors/tones of a (referential) photograph- underlayment, to create the ‘ WORD PORTRAIT’ ILLUSION of his likeness. The words are there, but the (real) message is expressed through imagery.
