  "...and?" [White silhouetted combat boots over a camo background. Within the words: frequent schoolyard 'shade' back in the day, "Oh yeah,  ...well,  your  Mom wears combat boots!"]   Growing up in the 1970s, the schoolyard was a battlefield of incredibly specific, deeply strange insults. But there was one classic zinger lobbed with absolute confidence meant to totally demoralize you:   “Oh yeah, ...well, your mom wears combat boots!” It was supposed to be the ultimate 'shade'—a dig implying your mother was unladylike, rough around the edges, or just didn’t fit the era's standard mold. You see, up until the 1970s, women’s roles in the military were heavily restricted. For decades, the system pigeonholed women almost exclusively into nursing or clerical roles. Perspective: 80s Alternative Music

Undeniably, we all recognize that musicians desire not only to produce music, but (so often, and longingly) aspire to become ‘ rock stars .’ Right!? First, we gotta clarify that “ rock ’ star” means any musical artist, post-50s “rock ' n ' roll” revolution, with aspirations of appealing to the ‘masses’ [whether they be underground or mainstream]. Well, often unrecognized, the 80s alternative , post-punk musicians (a.k.a. the New Wave scene) were more of a vibe about the exploitation of expressive creation. Foundationally, incorporating traditional instrumentation with synth/electronica. A puristic focus of musical exploration and expression. Seemingly, unconcerned with the attainment of infamy, gold records, and statuettes—the proof… the intermingling formation of influential artists and the ‘groups/(prolific) side projects’ by those artists. Video: Editing and Sound

  This example is a demonstration of video editing, 'soundtrack' selection and queuing, and motion graphics.   Developed from 32 individual clips, taken from 3 separate cameras for a total of 21 shots.
