Fun with 'shorts.'

As an experiment into 'Short-Attention-Span-Theater', this project was conceived to tell a story in more time than typical commercials but less time than a traditional short film, which is commonly around 10 minutes.

Additionally, this 'short' was created using basic techniques, incorporating stock video footage and sound effects, some popular music (segments), along with original A/V content. [In this case, DaVinci Resolve* 19 is used for the compositing/editing.]


*The approach to this project was to produce the entire 'short' from the 'Edit' screen/tab in DaVinci.

CONVEYING WORDS THROUGH IMAGERY! An example of the technique of ‘WORD PORTRAIT’ illustration. This example used the IARNG Military Service bio of (CSM) Larry W Steele as the ‘words’, with each letter filled in with the varying colors/tones of a (referential) photograph- underlayment, to create the ‘ WORD PORTRAIT’ ILLUSION of his likeness. The words are there, but the (real) message is expressed through imagery.
